| MvCuPLUS™ |
Medium Voltage Concentrator (European Topology)
In MainNet's PLUS system, MvCuPLUS is a medium-voltage access concentrator unit that connects and transfers data (from the backbone) over the electricity grid, concentrating all the medium-voltage units into one medium-voltage cell. It is designed for European network topologies and is European standards-compliant.
MvCuPLUS is a point-to-multi-point BPL/PLC communication unit which may be installed in a medium-voltage transformer station, or at any other point on a medium-voltage electricity grid. Capable of interfacing flexibly with any medium on the backbone side (whether fiber, copper, or wireless), the unit is managed by MainNet's network management system, NmPLUS.
MvCuPLUS enables the use of multiple broadband powerline applications — such as, Smart Grid, SCADA Extension and Security & Surveillance — over a medium-voltage grid, as well as Broadband Communication services that include Internet, VoIP and Video.
